You should be contacting the management company for any matters related to your unit or the building. As a best practice, when communicating with Paradigm Property, remember to cc Marc Milord on all emails. If you don’t hear from back from Marc or someone on his team within two business days, we recommend calling Marc directly. Also feel free to cc: the condo board if you like.

Hello all,
to commemorate Earth Day 2008 I am posting this blog, per the board’s suggestion, to propose the creation of a “Green Team” or committee that will explore such things as improving energy efficiency, reducing solid waste and other elements that will help generally make our condos more environmentally friendly.
As it is not always easy to coordinate dates for meetings, I propose:
- That ideas be posted on the blog to be archived under the Green Team Category
- That people interested in joining the research/due diligence team e-mail hernan.gee@gmail.com to relay the information to Miguel who will be the Board member directly involved with the committee’s activities.
The Green Team will be responsible for researching environmentally friendly solutions and presenting that information to the rest of the tenants for approval.
The first two topics that I would like to bring to everyone’s attention are the reduction of energy consumption and composting. I will be posting information on energy reduction in the next couple of weeks and can coordinate for someone from the Brooklyn Botanical Garden to come and teach us how to composte our food waste, which can be used as fodder for our plants.
I would also like to recommend a third topic for exploration which would be the creation of a Community Garden/Park in the vacant lot behind our building. This would involve researching property ownership history and determining the feasibility of securing a grant from the Trust for Public Land or another organization that would finance the purchase of that lot for the use of the immediate community. How great would it be to have a green space in our own backyard where we could relax, perhaps plant vegetables and have a green space for our kids to play in? Just a thought.
I would encourage all interested to e-mail me or to comment on this post or recommend further topics to explore.
Peace on Earth Day
